Cookies, Friends & Fun

We had so much fun the other day making Christmas cookies. Thankfully Princess Emma was available to help out.
As well as Other Mother (P.E.'s mom) and her secret ingredient the wine cooler.  You know it makes making cookies so easy.
Having this nifty lil cookie shooter that College Girl gave me for a gift a few years ago is pretty fantastic.  Thanks Pudds.
Princess Emma can now make cookies faster than any elf at the North Pole.
They even was able to decorate the trees, easy peasy.

After our busy day of cookie making we had fun with a shirt for Princess Emma.  It is body heat activated to change colors.  Hers is light blue and turns white.  If was so funny, she was having us make wishes and then 'blow' them onto her shirt.  Covering it with white splotches everywhere.  Once the area cools it goes back to light blue.  Too much fun.  If you want to find these kids clothes look them up with Quagmire Kids. They also change colors in direct sunlight too.  Pretty cool!

Fashion Show

I have been plenty busy taking care of Dear Hubby.  Forgive my absence here.  But I am sure you understand a man at rest means a woman does not play.  Actually I have to say he has been wonderful.  Not at all too demanding.  He rest a lot as he should.  We had a 1st week check up and all is looking good.  The Dr. says he is healing well and the feet look lovely.  I disagree since they are all swollen, bruised and bloodied.  Not too good looking yet.  But this will all heal and be so much better for him in the long run.

In the meantime College Girl has finished all of her finals and is home for the holiday break.  We had a mishap when the alternator went out in her 86 Mustang.  Thankfully her Other Mother and Poppa (Princess Emma's folks) came to her rescue.  Was able to get her to campus in time for a final and spend several days getting the car back up and running.  They were her knights in shining armor.  Even if Princess Emma was wearing pink armor.  She even let me borrow her crown.  I thought we looked radiant.

College Girl also was able to do a lil fashion modeling for us.  She has 3 new tops from the Susie Rose collection.  They looked great on her and she thought she would show them off.  Which is your favorite?

The first is all black.  She loves it for backstage work.  It does have a scoop neckline and is form fitting.  But College Girl has a nice shape any way.  Too bad she is not into the look like a model yet.  LOL  Pretty much a stand as you are girl.
I do love that all of the clothes are affordable at under $25 each.  That is important on a starving students budget.  We found this listed at only $8.00 at Walmart.  You could stock up on all the different colors here.  I even found my fav Pink!

This one we loved for the boat neck.  College Girl does not have a single boat neck til this top.  Classic in looks with the stripes.  But she does look a lil wider in it than she is at a size 4 to 6. Gosh I wish I was that small!

Sienna Miller, Stacy Kiebler, Kate Beckinsale, Whitney Port, Kelly Rutherford, and The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky are all crazy about Susie Rose! At least that is what we have been told.

The last one is purple which is perfect.  That is her school color!  A nice tie belt attached and again a scoop neckline.  Not so deep this time.  She seems most comfortable in this one to my thought.

This is listed at only $15.00 at Walmart.  Now that is a good deal for College Girl.  They also have it in black.  Now we know she is styling with the celebs.  Ha Ha!  But honestly I did think they were some nice looking tops for my long and lean lady.  And she was very happy to have received these 3 to review for Susie Rose.

DISCLOSURE: I received 3 complimentary tops as you have seen to facilitate this review. No other compensation was provided.

First Day of College

Well the first day of college is coming up soon. And it does not matter if you 6 or 22 you still want to look your best when you show up that day. So of course we are shopping for "school" clothes. Now it is a lil different than when College Girl was young. First we are not in the metroplex anymore. And it is harder to find that just right look here in small town Texas. So you know us....off to the web we go. (What did we do before the www?)
First we found a hot hot hot pair of heels to trip around on. Yes, walk not fall!
They only have a 4" heel but with CG being 5'7" that will make here 5'11" and a sight to see. She has killer gams (legs to you young folk) with all the walking she does. And this summer whe actually wore shorts all summer so her legs are a beautiful golden color. This is the shoes she fell in love with on first sight. Look for free shipping here!

Next we have to have a dress. CG loves to wear black so we looked at those dresses exclusively. She has a great shape so A-line dresses always look really good on her. And all the curves that can be hugged will be. I do not know how she does it but CG has the flatest stomach I have ever seen. Lucky I guess! Well what do you think of this dress? Oh and we found free overnight shipping with the dresses here!

Now last but never least is the fun funky purse to pull the outfit together. CG found this one to her liking. Especially loved the great retro print on it. I am sure there will be plenty of space in this bag for all of the things CG carries around in her purse. I won't even go there myself....scary place. But honest, I think this purse will be a great conversation starter!
And again, that free shipping is an option!

So what do you think of her first day of "school" outfit? I think she will be killer. Of course she is CG, so that always makes her killer to me!

Saving for those Expecting

Hey I found a way to save some money for those who are expecting their lil bambino. You know how expensive clothes are. And to purchase maternity clothes for just 9 months is hard for many of us. But now you can get an exclusive 20% Off! Just by using coupon code "blogfriends". Add that too up to 75% off many items. You can save, save, save. I am also excited that they have Plus sizes too.

There is also a section of maternity clothes that are $10 and under too. Wow the savings keep adding up. Maybe you can pass this information on to the ones who are expecting. I know I am always looking for a good bargain. Pop over to Kiki Fashions and see the great deals for yourself.

Summer Togs

Well with weight loss comes new clothes. No, No, I am not there yet. But I was asked today if I had thought about that as a reward for myself.
They say that when you hit a goal you should thank yourself for all your hard work.
And I was asked if I had thought about the dreaded "bathing suit".

Gosh, No Way!
I have a long way to go before I step out in a bathing suit.
I love to swim, but not publicly. And I have not been to the lake in years. Even though we have one not 15 miles away from us. I would be so scared to show my large expanse of white thighs and red sunburned back.
But it would be nice to eventually look into.

I did find a place that gives me a guide as to what I might want to look for in a bathing suit. And it is really helpful. Pop in here and see that it will tell you about covering up large hips or supporting ample chest. It tells you how to hide problem areas and still accent your good parts. Wow don't we all need that!

I also found where I can see what is "IN" this summer. Giving me top picks in women's summer fashion. I know that we all want to look good while still staying on a budget. That works by knowing what you are looking for before you shop. So take the time to learn if you may be wanting a new summer look.

Maybe a new outfit would be fitting as a personal "Way to go, Girlfriend" when I have lost 30 to 50 pounds. If so I know I am going to make sure it is the right style for me and still way "chic".

Wanting to Look Beautiful

I am sitting here this afternoon with a gapping hole in my mouth.
Of course, I am sore as can be.
I expected that. But it took 6-8 shots to numb my mouth before hand.
OUCH!

So now I need to take my mind off of the pain.
Guess I can go online shopping.
It is free and I don't have to even dress for the stores.

I love dresses. It is what I prefer to wear at home the most. And now I my wardrobe is shrinking in that department. No I am not losing weight. Just wearing out the dresses I do have to wear. And with it coming up to summer I really would love to have some more at a price I can afford.

So what do you thing about this one?

Thanks to www.simplybe.co.uk for the picture.

I love the straps for being cool and the length as a great dress around here. The black top takes the view up and away from my ample tummy. And the large print at the top of my abdomen is also very eye catching. It seems to fit my likes very well.
Do you want to know the cost?????
Well simplybe is a company that sells Large Ladies Clothing in Cananda.
And this lil number is $14.00 of the currency there and comes to $11.64 in US dollars.
What a FANTASTIC deal.
Don't you agree?

I really am looking into a way to buy some clothes from them. Checking into the shipping cost and the such. I have to say that I find it very hard to find pretty clothes for us BBW. But it seems that simplybe has found out how to do it.
Thank you for that!

Ok, ladies, let's go shopping!

Ok I know I am not the only "Big Beautiful Woman" who gets upset because I can not find stylish clothes that fit. And I also not the only one who has actually looked at maternity styles when I am not "in the family way".

Well, Okay, maybe just me? I am not sure. But I have. And I do have to tell you that I liked this place. Makes me wanna be ready to have a lil one to look this cute and for so lil investment. The clothes are trendy and low cost. Do you think I could get away with this number and not let people know it is a maternity top. Oh the extra plus here is that they have Plus Sizes too!
