Grand Babe Weekend

At the Friday night football game.
 Look Ma, no hands.
Girls can be tough too.
Growl!  I am a wild tiger.
It was so much fun when my Granddaughter told me she was a wild tiger.  So we pulled out the make up bag and made that statement true.  With just a few lines and swipes we made her  up to be her imagined strength.  That with her amazing eyes and our hearts were off to stalk the jungle (aka the house).  With a roar and a jump here and there we managed to catch quite a few other wild beast.
This last photo is a contest entry to the “Spook-A-Look Halloween Photo Contest” at Giveaway Blogs.  This site is sponsored by UPrinting and has some of the best giveaways listed there.  I add mine to the free forums so others can find them.  But at least one day a week I sit and go through them to find what I wish to enter too.  Love that!

College Girl making her Calling

I am happy with the bloggy business cards I have had in the past.  Mine were extra long so they were noticed a lil better.  But now I am thinking about how to help College Girl get noticed a lil more.  You see it is time for her to work on applications for Theater internship.  She will be sending out packets of information to theaters across this country and hoping one of them would love her FREE labor.  Sad to say, yes, they work for free for a summer and pay the college to let them have this opportunity.  Not logical but that is life.  Anyway, I figured that we could make her some business cards to put in her packages.  I love that now she can get the UPrinting Die Cut cards.  The ones with the rounded edges or look sorta like a leaf should make them stand out a little more.  Don't you think so?
I was thinking about maybe having her picture on the front.  I like this one the best.  Then putting her contact information and her talents on the back.  What do you think?  Sorta a way to say, "See Me?"  Well that is what I am working on.

How would you use a specialty cut business card?  Would it be a calling card for your blog?  How about a way to pass out all those addresses we have now...you know email, facebook, blog, twitter, cell/text. . . the list goes on and on these days.  I know it takes forever to write it all out.  But you could just pull out a Contact Card from your wallet and pass it on.  Not a bad idea?
Here is your chance to win die cut business cards prints!

Giveaway Prize:

250 Die Cut Business Cards for One (1) Winner
2 x 3.5”, 2 x 2” (square card) or 1.75 x 3.5” (slim card)
Die cutting options available: Rounded Corners, Leaf, Rounded One-Corner, Half-Circle Side, Circle
Paper Type: 14pt Cardstock Gloss, Matte, or High Gloss; 13pt Cardstock Uncoated
Color: 4Color Front, Blank Back; 4Color Front, Black Back; 4Color Both Sides
Limited to US residents only (sorry to my Candian readers)  18 years old and above

Just leave me a comment on what you would want to do with your cards.  Also you can get more entries by following UPrinting on their twitter page or  their facebook page.  Just leave me a comment as to where you follow them.  Also you can get an additional entry by going over and joining GiveawayBlogs.com.  That is a great place to find giveaways to enter and to put on your own page.  I will be willing to give 5 extra entries to each who join (or already has joined) GiveawayBlogs and then goes and leaves a comment/vote on my picture of Miss Emma dancing.  Let me know here in the comments that you did and do it 5 times to be counted.  I will draw a winner on 9-30-10.  Remember to have an email attached so I can find you then.

  • I will be receiving 250 Die Cut Business Cards from UPrinting.com for hosting this giveaway.

I got a great poster from this company before! I would let everyone know that I have recently moved Curves of Comanche!!

I will let her know she has won. And get the info off to Digital room also. Congrats.

Time for Giveaways!

I am starting a week of giveaways. So make sure that your here everyday to make sure you get your entries in. Some will be by comments and others will be by the luck of the draw....you never know!

So let's start off with a great sponsor of mine, UPrinting.com. A favorite who has given their fair share of gifts. Today we are hosting a Post Card Giveaway. One you can design for yourself. So on with the show.

I love this item for the versatility it creates. As I told you my niece and her hubby are expecting a new babe. These would make a great birth announcement. I also could see these as being great ways to reach out and share with our followers. Think of it, Follower Awards that we can mail out with a lil note of how much we appreciate them. Personally I am going to use our Christmas cards. You know....the ol' Christmas in July thing. Honestly, we all have to think ahead. This way we have a beautiful photo on front and a preprinted greeting on back. This will save me so much time and energy. So how would you use them? Make them into coupons? Good ol' fashion friendship cards? Or ways to reach out to soldiers overseas with glad tidings? Will they be a postcard printing and marketing to promote your business?

Well here is the fine print:

Giveaway Prize from UPrinting Printing Companies:

100 4 x 6 Postcards for One (1) Winner

Paper Stock: 14pt Card stock Gloss

Specifications: Full Color Both Sides;

Eligibility: Limited to US Residents only 18 yrs old or older.

Entries are with the normal comments. One for leaving a comment on how you will use your post cards. Another for following me anywhere....here, facebook, twitter...leave a comment for each place you follow me at. Make sure your email is with you profile or on the comment. I will have a winner withing two weeks.

A Shout Out!

Image representing UPrinting as depicted in Cr...

I want to take a moment to thank UPrinting and Digital Room for the sponsorship they have given so many of us bloggers. So many giveaways have been given to so many of us. And I am enjoying all that I have been able to share with everyone. Now here is a lil show of the goodies I have also enjoyed. I wonder what all y'all have enjoyed? Or would like to do sometime?

This was the photo I took one Easter Sunday. I have this as a poster print hanging in my bedroom now. I love this. Bluebonnets poking through the snow. Showing the hope and rebirth of Spring.

These will be the labels that are coming in next. I am going to use them on my bloggy giveaways as my return labels. So fun and then has that lil hint of ME!

Recipe Cards are what I did on the post cards. Once side is so we can pass along our favorite family recipes at the family reunion. The other side of the post card is the invite to the reunion. What a great double duty item.

Remember I had the pink flamingos in my yard supporting the Korman Breast Cancer walk? Well I took a photo and popped up the color a lil more neon. Now these are my blank greeting cards. I can send cheerful notes all over with them.

So what do you think? Isn't it great to have a supporter like UPrinting/Digital Room to help make all these neat items? I think they Rock!

Thank You!

I am working on my Thank You cards for this year. Yes I have thank you cards printed up every year. I find that having them all ready makes it that much easier to remember those who have gone that extra step for me. I have a great cousin (by marriage) that sends me the cutest lil "no day" gifts. Glad I will have a thank you card all ready to go when those type of things arrive. Many times another of our blogger friends will pop something off to us and I love being able to send them a Thank you card too. I was out this last month and actually was sadden that I could not send one off right when I wanted too.

Who do you send Thank you cards to? Only for birthday gifts? Or did you remember to send any at all? I am sure that many of us want to do this lil courtesy but often just not having them on hand makes it just that much harder. Well we are going to fix that for one of you. How? Well of course with a give away of Custom Printed Thank You Cards from the Digital Room.com.

Giveaway Prize:

(50 ct.) 7 x 5" (folded to 3.5 x 5") Custom Thank You Cards with 4 Baronial Blank Envelopes

14 pt Cardstock Gloss coating

Full Color Outside and Blank Inside

Eligibility: Limited to US Residents only. Must be 18 years old and up.

Going to the Big Time

Why UPrinting.com isn't your average printing company:

This is what I was pondering when I was looking at a way to help promote my blog. I am sure y'all look at ways to help your blog grow too. Well I am thinking of business cards to share with others as an introduction to who I am and my blog. You know you see them for all kinds of companies. Well, I was thinking that I should think of my blog as my own lil company too! I have been looking at UPrinting every since I won a great photo give away. I liked the results and customer service I received from them. It took me three different photos before I found the one I wanted to enlarge and they were just great about taking the time to see how each one would work out. UPrinting would contact me and let me know if the size was wrong or if the print would be too grainy once it was enlarged. That was good information for me to know so I would be satisfied with the picture I would pick out.

Then UPrinting contacted me and asked if I was interested in having them purchase a lil advertising space on my blog. Would I???? Great! So you will see their lil box over to the right side telling us about ways to save money on printing needs. So now it seems quite logical that I turn to UPrinting to help me upgrade my blog with business cards.

I already like that UPrinting supports a sustainable future by recycling, using non-toxic inks, and offering eco-friendly recycled paper stocks for business cards and postcard printing. If you are looking to find a sponsor for your blog, UPrinting.com is definitely interested. They offer giveaways, advertising and more for qualified bloggers. The U-Community Program sponsors hundreds of non-profits and education to improve our local communities. The UPrinting Kiva account promotes small business growth in developing countries. UPrinting has many ways to help you promote your blog and to help our enviroment stay healthy too!
