Jingle, Jump & Jive

I love to dance. I love to twirl. I love to feel like I am flying. I love to enjoy music with the joy a child has for it. I hear songs and I find I am twisting and tapping in no time. Music makes my soul soar all around the room.  And the best part of all of this is that I have a soul mate in that area.  Who?  College Girl....No!  Sadly she is an all White Girl.  Dear Hubby?  He loves music but not to the extent of who I float with best.  Princess Emma...YEAH!  She is a dance just waiting to break out all the time.

She hears a tune and her feet move automatically.  She is a rocking princess who can do a ballet turn and a booty shake all in the same move.  I love to dance with her.  She does not laugh at me....she laughs with me.  The amazing lightness that music makes us feel is shared.  So is it a wonder I am always wanting to find music to share with her.  Well I have her Christmas CD.  Kidz Bop Christmas Party is top on my list.  We can rock to the holiday music this season.  Now we can have carols that jump and jive right along with us.

Top it off.   You can pop over to Kidz Bop and listen to Kidz Bop Radio too!  FREE!  So now enjoy the fun of music, dancing and being a kid all over again.  Especially since Christmas is much more fun through the eyes of a child.

Christmas Lullabies Giveway

I was listening to soft music this week. Working on a collection of songs to use this weekend. You see we will have our grandson here with us. This time his big sister will not be with him. I am predicting that bedtime will not go as smoothly as it normally does when it is both grandbabes. I want to have some music that is soothing yet songs he will recognize too.  Thus it should be easier to have him focus on the songs instead of the lack of a sister or mom around.

Well after trying to do it myself, I found a solution.  The O'Neill Brothers have a new release in Christmas Lullabies.  They have combined the nursery songs that children know with the traditional Christmas music.  I love the way they have combined the 16 songs.

Your able to get the complete CD for $13.98 or download the CD for just $9.99.  You can also download each song for just .99 cents each.  Listen to a selection of the songs here.  My favorite is Hush Little Drummer Boy.  Each song is all done with soothing piano and violin music.  It is amazing all the work the O'Neill Brothers put into this CD.  Making sure that they had calming lullabies.  Parenting magazine gave this CD a grade of an A.

Now for your special Christmas gift.  The O'Neill Brothers gave me 5----yes 5----Christmas Lullabies to share with you.  Just leave me a comment on your favorite nursery song and favorite Christmas carol.  Extra entries to those who follow me on GFC too.  We will pick winners real quick so you can get this before Christmas too!  DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary copy of this DVD to facilitate this review. No other compensation was provided.

Let's Sing with the Snowman

Today I was able to share The Snowman's Song: A Christmas Story with my children that we help take care of. And it was amazing to see the faces light up as we read the story. But one of the things I liked next was that I did not have to read it a second time. Of course they asked. And then I popped in the CD of The Snowman's Song: A Christmas Story for them to listen to. So we cuddled up to the stereo and heard the story again. Boy did that ever save my voice.
The story tells the tale of a little snowman who wishes with all his heart for a voice so he can sing the Christmas carols just like the children do.

There is little chance that he will have a voice, because the snow world is quiet.
Everyone knows that snow people communicate by sensing thoughts and feelings. A beautiful red cardinal helps and a kind young girl gives him hope, then a Christmas miracle happens.

I do have to thank Leaping Antelope Productions for sending me this wonderful holiday story. She shared with me that every book purchased of The Snowman's Song: A Christmas Story will then provide another book for a needy child. What a blessing that is. You can share this story for the holidays and also make sure another child has a new book too! And we can do one more than that too!

Yes, we plan on sharing in a giveaway of The Snowman's Song: A Christmas Story. All you need to do is visit The Snowman's Song and come back and share something you found of interest there. (This is mandatory to enter.) You can also have extra entries too. Additional entries can all be done with a separate comment for each for following, having my button, twittering, links on face book, sending others to the giveaway (they have to credit you) and blogging about this great giveaway. Make sure that I can contact you some how in order to let you know if your the winner.

Laugh Out Loud Advice

I have had so much fun looking for my Dear Hubby's lil black book. Honest! I always said he had the book that has all the excuses men give their wives. You know what I mean. Why men can't pick up their dirty clothes? How did they forget your anniversary? And didn't they see that game last week?
Honest my DH always has such sweet answers I know he has to be getting them from some cheat sheet some where. Now I know where! Yep, I found his lil black book and it was (as expected) in disguise with a plain white wrapper. Even had the nerve to title it 'Rick and Bubba's Guide To The Almost Nearly Perfect Marriage'
I have had so much fun reading this book. And the CD that is at the end has had me in stitches in the Durango. I was so happy to receive this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers. I do not know how I have not heard Rick and Bubba on the radio or their TV show or through their books. It must have been a conspiracy to save DH from me. I know that I now have a goal to let all the other GRITS (girls raised in the south) know that there is a book (man's guide to marriage) that has all the secrets we have been looking for. Oh and to top it off I found out they stole our secrets too!
They published our well hidden Book of Blame to share with our football loving, hunting, fishing, can't find the remote darling husbands. There is even a confidentiality agreement the men must sign to keep us from finding out. So GRITS, I have caught them red handed and expect you to go out and find your DH's copy of 'Rick and Bubba's Guide To The Almost Nearly Perfect Marriage'.
