Do You have Monkey Butt?

Yeah, I am talking about Monkey Butt on here. No, not some weird animal thing but a true issue for those with active lifestyles.

I have a really good friend whose husband races on the motor cross circuit. And he can attest to how bad "Monkey Butt" can be. What is it? Well, it can be from after riding a motorcycle all day and your butt hurts so bad you walk like a monkey. Or anytime you end up sweating profusely from exercise or due to weather conditions, then you too may experience this uncomfortable situation. I know that my friends hubby has been there after a long hard race. But I also know he uses Anti Monkey Butt to take care of this situation. So soothing.

Now why am I talking so much about this? Well there is also Lady Anti Monkey Butt. Yeah, I know we are not suppose to but us ladies sweat too. Or perspire as I was told in the South. I have discovered that with my increased exercise that sometimes we all need a lil relief. This summer in the 100+ heat I would become quite chapped when working out and walking. I am so glad that there is Lady Anti Monkey Butt to soothe those times. Ok, it may not be a pretty name but it works. And that is the most important part of it to me!

Hint to those of us who are large. We can also use this around our tummy too. I promise when your chapped you will be so happy to have Anti Monkey Butt to make the pain go away. Thanks so much to Robin Leedy & Associates for sending me these two bottles to help make the pain go away!

Well, of course I would have to share this interesting item. So we are giving away a bottle of each. You can get your own Anti Monkey Butt and Lady's Anti Monkey Butt right here. Just comment on how you would use it or just what chaps your butt! (This is mandatory to enter.) You can also join them on their Facebook page. You can also have extra entries too. Additional entries can all be done with a separate comment for each for following, having my button, twittering, links on face book, sending others to the giveaway (they have to credit you) and blogging about this great giveaway. Make sure that I can contact you some how in order to let you know if your the winner.

Real Child Proof Medication

When your at someone's home do you look in their medicine cabinet? It seems 39% of people do. Well this is what you will find in my medicine cabinet.

Something different here than what you have found in other medicine cabinet? Well that is the Med Safe that is in there. It arrived at my home this last week. And I was so thrilled to see this special lil cabinet. You can place it in your bathroom medicine cabinet or in a drawer. But the great thing about this lil safe that you can lock up your meds. Keeping them out of the hands of lil ones.

This is how the box looked when it arrived. Do you know that I was thrilled to get to review the Med Safe. You see not too long ago I had a phone call from my niece. It seems her lil lady (2 yr old) had found the vitamin C and opened the bottle. She was not sure if she ate any or not and was unsure as to what to do. Of course we called poison control to ask for their help. And her lil lady was fine. (Thank God!) But I worry as there are many medications in my home. It seems that child proof caps are not that child proof at all. It also reported that about one out of every 180 two-year-olds visits an emergency department for a medication overdose each year.
With the Med Safe I can place all our our medication inside and then close it up. There is not a key to lose either. Instead a numeric code is programed in to open up the safe.
The state-of-the-art lock-box features 19,500 changeable combinations. You can pick the code that you wish to use also. This safe was big enough to place all of my Dear Hubby, my Mom and my own medications in. Hey, were aging so the meds pile up!

Now I am not worried of lil Emma getting into something she does not need to get into. And I am ordering one for my niece for her Christmas present so her lil lady can not find any more medications there. See Emma is all tucked in safe and sound here, just like my medications are.

A portion of each unit sold will support teen prescription drug abuse awareness programs through non-profits such as D.A.R.E. The product is presently available at www.helpsaveourkids.com for $49.95, and will soon be available in retail outlets nationwide.

Weekend Woes

Well each day is a new day. And we have had a full day yesterday and today does not look much better.

In bed with a broken foot.Image by davesag via Flickr

Yesterday my Dear Hubby had an accident and busted up his foot. Weird accident but that is the only kind he has. You see, we have two long 'baby gates' across the front of our porch. One is on top of the other. They are to keep the dogs from going off the porch and chasing cars down the road. Well yesterday, when my DH stopped by the house at lunch time he was standing on the front steps visiting with me. Then he leaned forward on the gates and of course they came tumbling down. Well that would have been hard enough. But, Miss Emma (College Girl's 3 yr old lis sis) was on this side of the gates and my hands were full. So I tried to move her while DH tried to avoid the fall. He twisted and caught his foot between the front top step (lined with metal) and sat on it with his bottom. Yes a grown man can make his leg bend that way! Well we ended up in ER and they say it is a fracture that you treat like a break.
So he is off work of both jobs AGAIN. Second time in 3 weeks (first was hospital stay 2 weekends ago). And may get to go back to light duty on Monday. In the meantime he has to be immobile with his foot raised for three days. Men hate being still when they are told to!
Well that was the first thing.

does your roof leak?Image by nuanc via Flickr

Next, we have had some ever needed cooling rain. YIPEE! That is good news.
But there is a leak above my mom's bed. Oh no! And Dear Hubby can not get in attic or on roof to fix it. So we had to call on Nessa's Dan to please come an give us a quick fix.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
Well one thing is Dear Hubby and my 6th wedding anniversary.
That is good news.
But can not go out as we planned due to busted foot.
No dancing for me.

Well Dear Hubby is home and doing better.
He is required to rest for 3 days which is hard for him to do.
He works 14 to 21 days in a row with two jobs.
So is it any wonder he ended up in the hospital.

They have not found out exactly what happened but have ruled out a heart attack.
That is really good with him already on a pace maker and two heart values have been replaced.
Most of all I am glad he had a warning to slow down.
And this will make my birthday nice to as he will be relaxed and ready for the day together.

(hint....my birthday is tomorrow bloggy friends)
