Fun Times Giveaway

My goodness time is just flying by.  It will be Summer very soon!  And the grandbabes will be here to visit.  YIPEEE!  I have a few new things to share with them too.  Do you wanna see?

Well my 8 year old grand daughter TK is a great reader.  And she is now doing many chapter books.  She also loves animals.  So I am going to add to their reading shelf.  Unlikely Friendships for Kids has 3 new books out and I have two of them.  Each chapter has a story of two animals that have made friends.  But it is odd pairings that you would not expect.  Can you imagine a friendship between an Hippopotamus and a Goat?  How about a Monkey and a Dove?  At the end of each book there is an animal list and a word phrase list.  A great way to learn and understand a lil more about what they read about in the book.  Better yet is the lesson that good friends come in all shapes and sizes.

There will also be our usual Friday night movie night.  I so love the popcorn party we have during movies.  I have two new ones that will suit each grandbabe.  For my 4 year old grandson and his Coppie (aka Dear Hubby) we have The Garfield Show Summer Adventures.  Garfield has always been Dear Hubby's favorite fat cat.  I think it could be a combination of his lasagna habit as well as the sleeping addiction going on with both of them.  I know that my two boys will giggle all the way through this one.  But us girls will have our revenge of The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2.  Yeah, a double feature.  This is on blue ray but also has each one on DVD all in one case.  What a great way to view and share!  I am a beloved fan of Julie Andrews.  Of course anything Princess makes us girls happy and this is the step up from the Disney Princesses.  Isn't Anne Hathaway the coolest too?  Oh to have her looks and Julie's grace.  This one is available at Target too!

TK also loves puzzles.  She is very good at the just like her Coppie aka Dear Hubby.  So they are going to be able to share our Puzzle Baron's books of Sudoku and Logic Puzzles (Vol. 2) as well as The Complete Idiot's Guide to Picture Puzzles (Vol. 2).  The Grandbabes already help us with the seek and fiind games online.  So I know they will be able to use this book for quiet time during the afternoons. We do not do a nap time but we do have a quiet time where we read, do puzzles and color.  It helps that we have a time to recharge in the heat of the day.  You can now download PRINTABLE LOGIC PUZZLES in PDF format directly via their sister-site, Printable Puzzles. Two new logic puzzles will be made available there every morning. If you love to solve while you commute or when you're away from your computer, these print-quality puzzles will come in handy!
