Today I was able to have a great day with the kids. Nope not mine. First off mine is 21 years old, so I can't call her a kid. But I do have Nessa's kids here. You see Nessa and her DH went off to Dallas to see the...........EAGLES.
So cool! Yeah! But back on the home front. We have to have a great time here too. Can't let the old folks have all the good times. So we started off by picking up two more friends so they will have a group to hang with. Then off to the video store to pick up some movies. Top of the line......of course. They picked out,
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Smokey and the Bandit
Nancy Drew
Polly World
and Sky Capt World of Tomorrow.
We had sandwiches, nachos and crystal light punch for lunch. An afternoon of videos, Scrabble, Apples and Apples, Seek n Find and a few pieces of candy to keep us going. We inter dispersed 3 videos with the games. Then it was time for the Bonfire.
Then out came the hot dogs and the marshmallows. Roasting hot dogs for dinner. Then follow up with S'Mores and hot cocoa.
One more movie and bed down for our sleep over. Sure sure, with all that sugar?
No way. Movie two and then we slowed down for the night. Like I said, we could not let the old folks have all the fun.
It seemed like my self esteem was boosted all day. I am sure you would have liked to be a kid on a camp out sleep over again. We loved it.
