Snagged Scrolls

Well let's continue our listing of informative reads.  Today will be the listing of books that was stolen from me.  Gosh I should not be so tough of them.  These are the books that my family and friends hi-jacked.  Is that better?  Oh and remember these are books sent for review.  No money traded hands.  Just that I love books!

Dear Hubby snapped up 7 Men and the Secret of their Greatness.  Here is the book that showcases virtuous men who should be role models for our children and grandchildren.  It is a day and age where men are being raised by women yet not always having the masculinity that is not only traditional but is also historic.  We are talking about me that know a hand shake is your word and your word is to be honored.  Here there are wonderful examples of honesty, courage and charity from biographies of great leaders and role models.  Eric Metaxas created dialogue that touches the need inside of men to find the clarity and strength to become more, become heros in their own lives.

The Other Mother was on top of her crafty form when she obtained Craft-a-Doodle and Flip Dolls & Other Toys.  These two books will be her guides to many of the Christmas gifts this year.  As a matter of fact I see several items I would even want.  Too cute for words.  I am so glad that she has these books because she will be making many lovely items.  Start off with Craft-a-Doodle: 75 Creative Exercises from 18 Artists.  Here you can get your creative juices flowing.  Drawing what comes to mind and then expanding on it.  Then you can take your doodles to make your own toys if you follow the examples in Flip Dolls & Other Toys.  If your not able do it that way then use the templates in the back of the book.

My niece who is a new mommy to her lil man picked up Super Baby Food.  This is just what she was wanting to help her out as her babe grows.  Keeping food as natural as can be starting off with breast feeding.  Then it will be to making her own food from scratch and putting it up for him to eat.  I know that having something to guide me is always best.  Here is the highlights to help you see if this is good for the mom to be in your family.

  • Money-saving, easy recipes to enhance baby’s development through toddlerhood and beyond! See a sample of baby puree recipes and baby food recipes excerpted from the book right here!

  • Complete list of resources and tips to find organic foods and connect with others online in the Super Baby Food Community.

  • Her sweetheart picked up 50 Fridays Marriage Challenge.  This is a relationship guide that challenges couples to answer important questions together and grow to a mutual understanding.   He had seen it when I was looking it over for review.  He asked me if he could borrow it so he would be able to have some ideas on what would be good firm footing for them.  You see they are a new couple with a new baby.  He really wants to make sure that his lovely lady knows not only that he adores her but that he is there for the good and the bad and the in betweens.
