This has been one super busy week. Loving the time here with 'Nonnie Summer Camp' as it has so been named. Different activities every day that has us going from sun up to sun down. I can't begin to tell you all of it. Most of all I can not get a moment to get on here and say hello to all of y'all. I MISS YOU!
Now it is 11 pm, kids down, house quiet but not clean at all. Killing me with that one. But I am here with you. I do sneak a bit of reading here and there. Using a e-book to do so. How? Well you get creative. Big time to get to read a bit is bathroom breaks. Yep the bathroom is sometimes private. Also late at night when all are asleep but me. I wake way early too. Reading with my e-reader or phone has it's perks. I do not have to move around, turn on lights or alert even the dogs that I am awake. Perfect.
Now what am I reading? A young adult novel that has a fresh feel to it. I feel right at home as I read because it speaks my language too. Computer, social media, text abd slang. It is fun to see a tweet here and there mixed in with the finer story line. Now my heroine is a teen that has done what is natural and normal, got in trouble and of course was caught at it. Sounds just about right for her age. But with her skills she is able to get into even more trouble trying to do the right thing. Yeppers, this is the way of the world.
Michael F. Stewart has penned Assured Destruction: Script Kiddie in the voice of a teen girl right down to the inner dialogue that goes on 24/7. This is set in current times so well that I am actually looking up links for the places listed in the book. AND FINDING MANY OF THEM! Assured Destruction: Script Kiddie is the book I needed this week to feel young again. Michael your on the right track and this should be a successful series.
Thanks to Tribute Books Blog Tours for hosting this blog tour and providing with my hidden read this week. I know I might be sneaking it in here and there but hey your helping me keep my sanity. But that’s not all.
A creep lurks in the shadows, stalking a friend, and Jan must stop him before the hunt turns deadly. The clock counts down for Jan to save her friend, her job, her boyfriend—maybe even her life.

Kirkus Reviews, on Assured Destruction, book #1
After crewing ships in the Antarctic and the Baltic Sea and some fun in venture capital, Michael anchored himself (happily) to a marriage and a boatload of kids. Now he injects his adventurous spirit into his writing with brief respites for research into the jungles of Sumatra and Guatemala, the ruins of Egypt and Tik’al, paddling the Zambezi and diving whatever cave or ocean reef will have him. He is a member of the International Thriller Writers and SF Canada, and the author of the Assured Destruction series, 24 Bones, The Sand Dragon, Hurakan, Ruination and several award winning graphic novels for young adults.
