Yes it is International Bacon Day or Bacon Day! This is an unofficial observance held on the Saturday before Labor Day in the United States. And I present to you Bacon Roses. These were made for me by The Other Mother for my birthday this last month. How cool is that.

Love bacon, but don't have it often. Those are the cutest "roses." May try that sometime, using spinach for the foliage. Never have heard of chicken fried bacon! But I HAVE to try it!
