So just how do I celebrate this day? Well not only am I reading as usual. But I am taking many of my books to donate to the local library. Not forgetting to put up the tween and teens ones for the junior high school.
In the mean time I am curling up with my favorite international author, Jerome Charyn. I am currently on Maria's Girls, part of the Isaac Sidel series. Tucked away for later is Michael Chabon's The Yiddish Policemen's Union.
Tell me what book is on your night stand right now. What is your all time favorite? And how do you foster a love for reading with your kiddos?

No Toni Morrison? Try Beloved. Okay list but lacks diversity. No Asian or Latina women either.

ReplyDeleteToni Morrison is great. I have read several there including Beloved. This is not my top 100 list. Or it would have had several changes. What would be your top 10?
DeleteDonating books is a great way to celebrate! Decent list, but too many repeats of authors to make me happy. And not a single Austen, Dickens or Bronte! Tsk, tsk!
