Bed Time Ritual

Well last night we managed to properly dunk the kiddos in the tub to wash away the grime of the day.  Landon was not too thrilled with a triple hair washing but learned that is what happens when you dump dirt on your head.  Teeth brush and tucked away for the night in the living room turned Grandbabes summer campsite.  Then came the good time of the whole day.  Story time.

I was thrilled to be able to share Marlow and the Monster with Landon especially.  He tends to have bad dreams often.  He tells us those scary shows are in his head again.  I have been blessed to have other books by Sharon Cramer too such as The Sneezy Wheezy Day.  She is the author and illustrator of Cougar Cub Tales.  Once again her talent as an artist comes through with Marlow and the Monster.  The pictures are all drawn in black ink yet the monster is vivid in bright colors.  Marlow knows that monsters are not real.  So he does not give any attention to this pesky one.  But in time he figures out just how to deal with him on his own terms.

I also like that she tackles the horrid monster in my room issue.  I remember that myself as a child.  So scared that something was in the closet or under the bed.  We have tried helping out our Grandbabe with his bad dreams by not watching scary movies and keeping soft lights on through out the house so he can get to the bathroom or us easily.  JD kept a flash light by her bed also but I think she used it mostly to read under the covers.

I wish to tell Elaine of PR by the Book thank you for including us in this blog tour.  Also a super big thanks ever to Sharon for making Marlow and the Monster FREE on Kindle this week!  Hurry and get your copy right now.

Now once I had the Grandbabes down and my own bath finished it was time for my very own story time.  It is not possible for me to sleep without reading.  And Dear Hubby was very tired last night.  He does not mind me having my side lamp on but I hate to bother him.  Instead I pulled out my e-reader to finish up the last of Quest, Inc. by Justin Cohen.  You can check out (Chapter 1) for yourself too.

Now I day dream of how I could lose the weight I have carried around for years.  Or if I could earn more money and not always be in such a bind.  Dear Hubby fights with smoking and has tried to quit several times.  And we hear of the seminars and CDs to listen to that can help all of these things just melt away.  Yes I do know that having positive reinforcement helps but it does not do the work.  Only we can do it ourselves.  But what if?  Justin Cohen has had these very same talks with thousands and brings the what if to realization in Quest, Inc.

I want to thank Tribute Books for always supporting me and sharing with you.  It was great to get to read Justin Cohen's novel.  And I hope you enjoy it just as much.
