Making Up a Routine

Well today Curves is closed for the owner to observe one of her religious holidays. So I will not be there to work out, sad to say. Instead I have to do an at home fitness routine.

So I started out with the good old fashion stretching exercises of taking the clothes off of the line. Good bending, twisting and stretching exercise right there. Then I continued on by sweeping the floors and mopping them with bleach. Not only did my floors get sanitized I also used those abs to sweep with (keeping tummy tight while doing it) and worked my upper arms.

Next I plan on donning my running shoes and my pedometer to see how many steps I can get while chasing Emma around the house. It is hard to go for a walk with a 3 year old. She just can not go to fast at all. But she loves to swing so I am sure I can do that too! Pushing is resistance exercise right?

Now I do not have a heart rate monitor to check and see if any of this will do any good at all. But maybe while Emma is napping I can get in some walking. Meanwhile I do have an exercise bike that moves both my arms and legs to use. And I can also get a lil more with my 'rude' machine. Don't remember the name of it but basically it looks like I am riding a bucking horse. Sorta feels like it too. I have figure out how to do sit up with that one too!

So do you think I can do my own workout today?

It's Football Season Again

Well football season is upon us again. I am thankful that Dear Hubby is not a major fan. Now he

can sit and enjoy a game with his dad but does not do it for just him. College Girl's poppa is a massive football fan. Yeah he has Texas fever! Where football season hits and he is unable to manage a weekend without a game. I am glad he enjoys it so much.

This last year CG was looking at a no day gift for Poppa and was trying to get him some tickets. She was not too sure about the San Francisco 49ers Tickets but I hear they are a real good team. Of course she could not go wrong at all with Texas Longhorns Tickets. That is Texan pride there. Of course I suggested she gets her Poppa the Washington Redskins Tickets. Mean ol' me.

You see when we (Poppa and I) were married I would tease him about the Redskins. Anytime they played a game against his beloved Cowboys I would yell and cheer for the Redskins. That would get him going. I am not into football at all. I just wanted to cheer for the other team and have fun getting Poppa riled.

So do you think CG will go for the Longhorns? Or will she be my lil' girl and also rile her poppa with the Redskins?

No Day Present for the EX?

My ex-hubby and my College Girls dad is a big time football fan. CG was wanting to get him

something really amazing this year for his no day present. I suggested she should look into some football tickets. CG was online searching when she asked should she get Baltimore Ravens Tickets or Dallas Cowboys Tickets or Green Bay Packers tickets. Now I thought this was a real "DUH" moment for her. I know that she was not sitting in front of the television all those times he was screaming at it. But we did move here from Dallas/Ft Worth. SO, I would assume she would think of the Dallas Cowboys Tickets first. But not in her head. She was looking at the idea of who they would be playing against. Now, I never thought of that one. "DUH" me! Of course I would always try and get tickets against the Redskins just because I know it would really get to the ex if the Redskins won. Ain't I bad????

It is not that I do not want her dad to enjoy his no day present. It is just that he is still my EX. When do you drop that part out of your thoughts? Well maybe he will enjoy his tickets. I know that it would be an amazing surprise for him. So I wonder what game he will get to see this year?
