Food to be cooked for meals. Hummm, it is in the fridge, pantry and freezer. Is that enough? Nope. Check on checking that one.
Pets cared for. YES! I have something done. Wait...nope gotta still do the bird feeders and water. Not checked.
Beds made? Nope.
Anything cleaned or organized? Not on your life.
Gosh I sure do need a maid. Should we not have on issued when we go on vacation? You know you leave and she comes in. JD helped all she could but with two jobs it is not easy. Add in that she was sick too. Still has a ragged cough and she is preparing to move to her own apartment this weekend. Poor dear. And as wonderful as Dear Hubby is, well housework is not his cup of tea. You understand.
So what do I need to do? Well get to work of course. Oh and have to have it all done TODAY! Yes! Leaving in the morning for 5 days of house/pet sitting. Super sonic mom to the rescue. I wish. Instead I am going to plod through it all. Oh and....guess what? The central a/c is gone, out, kaput! And the window unit for the living room, dining room and kitchen was killed by Dear Hubby before we left for vacation. Still waiting on replacement parts. So it is sweat city in the front of the house.
I am a lil overwhelmed to say the least. So what is my incentive? Well I am going to have a bowl of cereal. Dry. Why? No milk and not time to really go buy some then leave for 5 day. But this is a pretty tasty cereal dry. Sorta reminds me of snacking on granola. I know it will be perfect on my yogurt. Yeah, my dad loved doing just this. Gosh I am getting more and more like him every day. Oh what is it? It is Fiber One with nutty clusters and almonds. One cup will have 180 calories so that is good for a healthy snack, right? Well is for me compared to a handful of cookies. I will be getting 43% of my dietary fiber too. Getting older and have to think of that now. I promise you it gets to the point in life where you start looking at these things. Pretty low in fat so I am doing good there too.
My dad had a wooden bowl of nuts that sat on his coffee table. He would get the nibbles and reach over for a handful of them. Grab the nut cracker and set to work on providing himself a good snack. It was great as it took time and effort to do so you did not snack unnecessary either. I have that same bowl now as a memory of my dad. But I have not put the nuts in it. Instead we have our hand n' foot cards there. See where our priorities are. Fiber One and General Mills sent me a great wooden square bowl for nuts though. A nut cracker too. And a special lil place to store the nut cracker on the top of the bowl. Too cool for words. Also sent me a great big cereal spoon so I can eat my Fiber One with it. And milk...I will be getting that pretty soon.
Just to get this lil list of chores out of the way first. Wait....before I get to work. Wanna try some? Yeah, some Fiber One? How about the spoon and bowl? You do? Great then let me share. Just enter the Rafflecopter below to win Two boxes of Fiber One, A wooden square bowl and a cereal spoon. And in the meantime go and snag you a coupon to save on Fiber One also!
