Sharing with the Grandbabes Giveaway

I am so sad.....really sad.  You see the grandbabes were to arrive today.  I was all ready for them.  But with the constant rain and storms their mom wants to wait a bit and see if the weather dies down.  Now I understand that and am glad for their safety.  But the other part of me just wants to be a lil kid and kick her legs in frustration.  Okay, I guess I can not do that.  Instead I will get a lil more ready for them.

So what are we going to do?  Well if it is nice we have new kites to fly.  If it is wet and rainy than indoor games will be puzzles and some new crafts.  We also are going to make a brownie pizza for dessert one night.  I know that will be lots of fun to do.  And of course there is the nightly video.  It seems that I can not break this habit that was started at their home.  Instead of fighting it, I go along and pick the DVD's that I think are enjoyable.  I do say it does help them settle right down.

One of them this week will be Pound Puppies: Homeward Pound.  This is now showing on the HUB TV channel.  It seems a safe bet that we will hear the awws and ooohhhhs on this one.  With 5 episodes on here I am sure we will have plenty to watch in small doses.  My oldest grandbabe will really like that there is a section on how to draw Lucky.  It says on here that finding homes for good dogs is a full time job.  Well that I have to agree with!  You see I am doing just that for a neighbor of mine.  She is in a bad situation and is having to leave her home.  Well with her 3 dogs she is in a even worse area.  You see she is having to move in with friends and can not take her dogs with her.  So they need homes.  I have been showing one off on facebook hoping that maybe someone local could help out.  But so far it has not helped.  Of course with my own 5 dogs I can not really bring in 3 more.  I am afraid these dogs will soon be real life pound puppies.

I also love to sing and dance with the kiddos.  Of course we have the newest Veggie Tales movie, Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men.  The Veggie Tales is always a big hit around here.  I love that this is a good one on how to handle rejection.  It is so hard when your little to understand that not everything is going to go the way you want it too.  There is also a short of Lenny & The Lost Birthday.  Add in a couple of sing-a-long songs, a lesson on leap year, a discussion guide on handling hurt and even info on how to do fund raising.  This DVD is not going to be short on learning in a very fun way.  I even have Veggie Bandages for any boo-boos that may occur this week. You know that seems to always happen some time or other.

This is so perfect that I think I need to share with you.  So I am sharing a copy of Veggie Tales: Robin Good and His-Not-So-Merry Men with you.  Just click through the RaffleCopter below to enter okay!

  1. I have watched it but it was a long long time ago so I would not know the songs. Silly right? The kids talk about it all the time and it would be great to have a DVD of it to play for the kiddos.

  2. Our fave video is the Silly Songs Countdown, which our fave song is also 'Where's My Hairbrush?' Since it's yours also, you'll get a kick out of this. My God-daughter and I have been watching them since she was a tiny baby, we use to go through Wal-Mart and I'd sing it to her while shopping. I'd draw out the 'where's' and 'my' then on hairbrush I'd say it really fast and tickle her belly. She'd laugh and laugh. Unfortunately, her Mommy is a bit more reserved than I so when SHE did it, my God daughter wasn't satisfied with her level of loudness!
