PBS? Personal Broadcasted Specials?

When was the last time your imagination came alive before your eyes?  That music, color, dance, amazing creatures and unbelievable feats were all swirling around.  Well that is what happens when you get to see the Cirque Du Soleil.  I am always amazed at the dancers, acrobatics, performers and artist telling a tale of imagination.  I am unsure if there are words to completely describe the shows they put on.

We were so lucky to see a preview of the PBS special  coming up this winter.  You can check when different shows are on here.  But I know that I want to see the complete special this year.  It starts on November 27th and goes on through December of 2010.  The special has highlights from 7 of the shows.  The Cirque du Soleil is an amazing story in itself.  Originating out of Quebec with only 20 or so performers it has grown to amazing shows with over 5,000 employees including 1,200 artist from all over the world.
Another special that is coming up is the Peter Yarrow Sing-Along.  Peter as you may very well know is the Peter of Peter, Paul and Mary.  I loved seeing the audience filled with grandfolks, adults and  grandbabes.  And seeing them all sing together.  The kids especially came alive when Billy Jonas was on stage.  I had never seen him but apparently I am way behind the times.

I know that I am one of those folks who love to sing with the music, I clap with the songs and I applaud even from my living room.  And who can not sing along to Puff the Magic Dragon?  That is just impossible. So I have to share my favorite version of Puff.

DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary preview copies of these shows to facilitate this review. No other compensation was provided.
