Next Top Chef Richard Chamberlin of Chamberlin Steak House showed us some wonderful and easy meals. The beef and heirloom tomato salad with balsamic syrup was tender and bursting with sunshine. I could eat those tomatoes all day long. He also made us beef pot roast with maple sweet potatoes and cider gravy. I would eat a ton of the maple sweet potatoes if I was not being watched from all sides.
Next a cooking event that we all participated in. We all moved to a large teaching kitchen and broke up into teams. It was so Top Chef to me. My team was making beef brisket tostados with spicy peanut slaw. Easy peasy to make. Of course with my allergies I had to look around to see what I could eat. But I promise you, eat I did.
I will be placing photos, more of the event and recipes this weekend once I get home. I have the pleasure of hanging out with one of my high school friends tonight. Then the 150 mile trip home. Y'all have a great night and know I ate all the BEEF! So now you know "Where's the Beef?"
Have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so fun! My cousin is a chef and I always want him to host a little cookie school for a girl's night.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I commented on this post. Anyway, I'm here. I liked your comment about God knocking you in the head. I bet as powerful as HE is, it's just a nudge to HIM. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
