Momma's Old

We had fun last night but oh oh oh am I ever old.

Instead of the Ladies Night Out we had planned.
You know the one, nice and sedate, pop in at Chili's or somewhere like that. Have appetizers and a f few drinks. Then home and in bed before midnight easy. Right?

NO!

That one was canceled due to a work schedule for one of the ladies. But that did not stop me. Oh no, I wanted out and out I went. Nessa, College Girl and I decided that it was time to blow this lil ol country town and see the bright lights of the city. So off we drive 150 miles (one way) to Dallas for some real night life. Wheewww-hawww!

It was great. I went to my old stomping grounds from my early 20's. And College Girl loved the clubs and area very much. Nessa went along with her eyes darting from person to place to post as she is the true small town lady. We made sure to do it up right with our drinks, jello shots and enjoying the dance contest even. Left Dallas at 2:30 a.m. to head back home.

Now let me interject that I had woken up Friday morning at 4 a.m.! So the long drive home and pulled into our drive at 5:30 a.m. That was 25 1/2 hours of my day. Ha Ha. Poured myself into bed for a nice long rest. Yeah you got it......wide awake 3 1/2 hours later wondering why my eyes were open.

But we did have a lot of fun. New sights for Nessa, new clubs for College Girl and memories for me. I promise you I remember that I am not 20 years old any more.

  1. Wow all I can say is I am mightily impressed. I wish I could do the same, but I know I'd fail miserably, so I will live on my old 'girls night out' memories!

  2. Glad you were able to get out and have a good time even though we had to cancel our girl's night. I was very disappointed, but I discovered that it may have been for the best. After I finally got done with the truck, I came home and showered and got some things together and went to stay the night with Kevin. We decided we'd go eat together and went to Chili's since that was on my mind from our plans. I will tell you this, I do NOT intend to eat at THAT Chili's again, ever. I have a different place in mind for our reschedule, and I even know the cook/manager/does-it-all-guy there. Looking forward to our rescheduled time to go out!
